Where i have been?

Well lately you havent seen me post anything at all.  This is all because of two things.

1. My trial key is up and i havent purchased the game yet.
I truly do love FE but im not sure if i want to subscribe to another MMO when i have a full plate as it is now.  With WoW I usually am always busy so i just havent been able to play FE as much a i would have liked to.

2. Not sure it is worth the monthly payment
While yes i had a amazing time in FE,  im just not sure how long i would stay with the game.  While it seems very fun so far, it could get repetitive and boring after a while i think.  I never had any real motivation to log on everyday, yet as soon as i did,  I couldn't stop playing it for hours on end.

Hopefully i will return to the game soon, I will still continue to update this blog with all my MMO related news, So Stay Tuned!

Am i doing this right??

So yeah, my character Velzak Kraznul...he's special.  Decided to make him a melee crafter,  well im not sure it worked out so well.  Anyway, after trying to find help on the Help channel in chat,  someone linked this:

and
http://www.globaltechatlas.info/

Go to this if you are unsure about anything of your build.  I have been planning out a new character that will be more combat than crafter,  and so i thought this would be a good idea to post on here.   It will help people out tremendously.

Until next update, Have fun in FE!

My Continued Fallen Adventure

It has been a long week i must say, for it hasnt seemed like i got much play time in Fallen Earth.  As of right now I'm level 2 (So far along!) and still getting the hang of the game.  One thing i want to point out is that it takes a long time to understand the game.  At the point im at right now, I have a long road ahead of me.

So enough about how hard the game is, lets talk about my Character.  Velzak has been coming along well now and I decided to start in the town of Midway.  I wanted to start there because i never really tried crafting that much and in Fallen Earth, everyone is saying its all the rage!  So anyway my character as i said before is Level 2, which i noticed as i gained a level, I got i think 6 AP.  I spent them in melee because I heard melee does alot of damage, plus melee crafter sounds cool!

So crafting in Fallen Earth,  it is not as simple as one may think.  I learned that if you want to be a true crafter, scavenge everything you can find no matter what it is.  Also try to have a lot of items in queue for crafting so i you log off,  you can still make items to sell.  Crafting is one of the main points of the game, so craft wisely and try to pick one or two of the crafting vocations to work more intenty on.

When you are placed in the Open world, Take the Second Tutorial!  It helps a lot with learning the harder things in the game and goes more in depth with what you already know.  Plus it gives you a free horse to ride around on.  The crafting tutorial is probably one of the best i have seen in a MMO.  It shows you all different kins of Vocations to take and what you benefit from each one.  I myself have not decided what i am going to do for crafting,  maybe just take them all up and slowly work my way to the top.

As for my play time,  I most likely will start to play more this weekend,  WoW raids have me on a tight schedule on the weekdays.  Oh and for those of you who don't know,  My characters names are Velzak and Velzak Kraznul.  I mostly play Velzak Kraznul so contact him in-game if you want to get to know me!

The Dawn of a New Era

So as i was playing Fallen Earth yesterday it hit me.  We are on the verge of a new Era in MMO Gaming i believe. With Fallen Earth, Darkfall, and many other MMO's, the Niche MMO's are starting to shine.  I soon think that these games will truly be the better MMO's out there because they have a much better community than say, WoW for example.  Look at Fallen Earth, just today we saw on lagwar's interview that they are already adding alot of new content to the game, including character housing!   http://lagwar.com/home/archives/8254

Now if you look at WoW, not that i hate it at all i still play it, but they seem to not have any player built content.  The difference i seem to see between the niche MMO's and other MMO's is that in the niche, you seem to have a more responsive community and the players seem to work together.  One thing i believe to be the best is that you can go on the forums for lets say Fallen Earth, and see that alot of people have been wanting to have Player Housing.  Well with the interview from above you can see that they listen to the community better than other MMO's.

I don't know if anyone of you are following me on this but i think this will become the dominate MMO market because it always seems nicer to have a community that listens well and response to players more.  The Era of easy MMO's i believe are at a decline now, and the New Era of Harder MMO's has begun!

-Note that this is just a strong opinion i believe,  express what you think is going to happen in the comments below!

My Fallen Earth Adventure has Begun.

So hello there again everyone, this is my first official blog post about Fallen Earth, and I would just like to say thank you for stopping by. I have gotten a Trial key from Massively.com respectfully and decided to see what all the hype was about for Fallen Earth. So i download the game, Patche the horrendously long patch, and loaded it up.

As the game screen came to, it started at a character creation screen. It had a very fair amount of options from many hair color types, to whether to add chest hair (Oh yeah!).
For the MMO's I have played over the years, this character creation had to be on the more customizable side. I must say though, the character models seem a bit ugly, yet it is kind nice to get away from the perfectly Hercules like characters that we have in so many other MMO's.

So as soon as I finished creating my character, Velzak, I was sent into the tutorial zone. I was put into a small teleporter looking object that was very detailed. As soon as i was set there, i heard a voice start to talk to me. It seemed like a intercom of some sort. I later figured out this was my tutorial voice speaking system. It was very nice and well explained, I must say i enjoyed the experience. I don't want to make any spoilers so i will not go into detail about the tutorial, other than that i thought it was well thought out.

After i got out of the tutorial I had a option of what town to go to in either Crafting, Combat, or support. Not sure what the support is but i chose crafting because i love making stuff for people. When i was put in the town I had the chance to start another tutorial for the more advanced skills in the game like crafting and gathering. It was very well put together also and very much say that if you are new to the game you need to go for it. (you get a free horse from it!) That is as far as i have gotten in the game, so as i get farther i will blog more and more about my travels and what i see.

Very well done Fallen Earth team, I cant wait to get farther in your amazing game!
So Fallen Earth, Love it, Hate it, somewhere in between? Well i personally think that it is well worth the payment. If there ever is a trial again, i would say go for it.

P.S. I need to figure out how to get pictures to get onto this blog, like taking a picture of the character creation, brownie points if you can figure it out.
